Wet weather ending, unseasonably cool temps persisting in Metro Detroit

Thursday evening will be cool, breezy, and showery.

The rain showers will diminish at night, and Metro Detroit will be left with mostly cloudy skies.

Apart from the wet conditions, the weather is also feeling much more like early spring than mid-May.

With evening temperatures in the 40s and 50s, overnight temperatures will fall into the upper-30s and lower-40s.

The upper-30s are likelier near US-23 and I-69, including Ann Arbor, Howell, Fenton, and Lapeer. Northwesterly winds will be 5 to 15 mph.

A few garden-variety showers may impact the Thumb, especially in the morning.

Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy. Winds will be out of the west-northwest at 10 to 15 mph.

Skies will be partly cloudy on Friday night, with lows in the lower-40s.

Drier skies and a warming trend for Memorial Day weekend

Moving into Saturday and Sunday, Metro Detroit is forecast to see gradual warming. Under partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies, temperatures will reach the mid-60s on Saturday and Sunday.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is expected to be pleasant, with highs in the upper-60s. Temperatures will be closer to what is typically expected for late May.

Looking Ahead

Although the thermometer is expected to touch 70 degrees midweek, the chances of rain will be back.
