Rain showers continue for Metro Detroit; drier weather moves in for the holiday weekend

Temperatures will slowly get warmer looking ahead into the upcoming weekend

WEDNESDAY: Cloudy skies, continued chances for rain showers. High: 56.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Cloudy skies, a chance of rain showers. Low: 48.

THURSDAY: Cloudy skies, a chance of rain showers. High: 57.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies, rain showers winding down. Low: 44.

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy skies. A chance of a rain shower or two, but most places will remain dry. High: 58.

After a little bit of sunshine on Tuesday, the rain showers moved into the region on Tuesday afternoon and into Tuesday evening, and we will keep the wet weather into the forecast at least for the next few days.

Expect scattered rain showers on and off throughout the day on Wednesday, the chilly temperatures will also stick around the forecast. High temperatures heading for the middle 50s by Wednesday afternoon.

Rain showers will remain into the forecast overnight tonight and indoor Thursday as well. Overnight lows dropping into the upper 40s, and high temperatures not much warmer on Thursday than we will be on Wednesday. High temperatures heading for the upper 50s by Thursday afternoon.

We start to bring drier weather into the forecast, looking ahead into the end of the week on Friday. We will keep the slight chance of a rain, shower or two into the forecast for Friday, otherwise we will see a filtered sunshine throughout the day. High temperatures into the upper 50s by Friday afternoon.

We will keep the drier weather into the forecast with temperature slowly getting warmer looking ahead into the upcoming weekend. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds both Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures into the middle 60s on Saturday will head into the upper 60s by Sunday afternoon.

Then, looking ahead into early next week for Monday and Tuesday, we will keep some sunshine into the forecast both days, but there are some indications that we may have a few rain showers into the forecast Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures will slowly continue to get warmer, we will head into the upper 60s by Monday afternoon and into lower 70s by Tuesday.
