Red Lobster in Monroe County deemed total loss after fire

FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Red Lobster restaurant in Monroe County has been declared to be a total loss after an early morning fire, officials said.

At about 2:15 a.m. on Monday, June 9, authorities responded to a call about smoke coming from the Red Lobster at 1553 N. Dixie Highway in Frenchtown Township.

Deputies and Frenchtown Township fire officials, along with crews from the Ash, Berlin, Estral Beach, Exeter, LaSalle and Monroe townships and the City of Monroe Public Safety Department responded to put out the fire.

No one was injured, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities are working to determine the origin and cause of the fire, but said that so far, the investigation hasn’t revealed anything suspicious.
