BIRMINGHAM, Mich. – Films from two iconic directors will be shown throughout the summer at an Oakland County theater.
Emagine Entertainment will spotlight the films of Stanley Kubrick and Paul Thomas Anderson at the Birmingham 8 at 211 South Old Woodward Avenue on Thursday nights from June 19 to Sept. 4.
“This film series brings their iconic films back to the big screen where they belong,” according to a release from Emagine Entertainment. “Every Thursday throughout the summer, join movie-goers for an unforgettable tribute to two of film’s most daring and influential directors.”
Here’s a list of the films that will be shown:
- June 19: The Killing
- June 26: Paths of Glory
- July 3: Doctor Strangelove
- July 10: Clockwork Orange
- July 17: Barry Lyndon
- July 24: Full Metal Jacket
- July 31: Eyes Wide Shut
- Aug. 7: There Will Be Blood
- Aug. 14: The Master
- Aug. 21: Inherent Vice
- Aug. 28: Phantom Thread
- Sept. 4: Licorice Pizza
