WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – A man was sentenced for hitting a 3-year-old girl with his car in Hamtramck, killing her.

Marvin Lee Flentroy, a 64-year-old man from Pontiac, was driving at the intersection of Burger and MacKay streets on July 16, 2024, when he struck a 3-year-old girl crossing the street.

The 3-year-old girl was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.

According to Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, he was a bus driver for Auxilio Services, which transports Hamtramck Public School students.

Flentroy was charged with reckless driving causing death. He was sentenced on May 15, 2025, to three years on probation and $1,080 in court fees.
